Annual Review Clinics
These clinics are run throughout each day with the Practice Nurses. These clinics are for people with long term conditions such as Diabetes, Heart Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Kidney Disease, Stroke, Epilepsy, Rheumatoid Arthritis or Respiratory Disease. We offer an annual review of all these conditions in one long appointment with the Practice Nurse. Letters will be sent if you are due review of your medical condition unless this has been done recently at the hospital.
Antenatal Clinics
These clinics are run but the Community Midwife, information on antenatal care will be given by the midwife at Pre-booking Appointment after you have confirmed your pregnancy.
Pre-Booking: Every Wednesday Afternoon at Ayrshire Central hospital (ACH) Telephone 323061 (please allow an hour for this appointment and you should collect a pregnancy booklet from the surgery prior to your appointment)
Follow on ante-natal care will be at one of the midwife clinics below.
Antenatal Clinics:
Every Tuesday 9 – 12pm and Every Thursday 2:00 – 4:00pm by appointment only
Pre-conception advice can also be given out by the midwife.
Childhood Immunisations
All Childhood immunisations are done at the clinics and are run by the Practice Nurses on:-
Wednesdays | 1:20pm – 3:10pm |
Thursdays (these appointments are pre-booked for children’s 8 week baby check and first immunisation) | 2:00pm – 3:00pm |
Fridays | 11:00am – 12:00noon |
Vaccinations
All vaccinations and immunisations (NHS Advised) for adults by appointment with our Practice Nurse.
Minor Surgery Clinics
Minor surgery clinics are run within the practice on the following dates:-
Tuesday Evenings: 5:30pm – 6:30pm ( Dr R White and Dr R Williams )
Patients should discuss minor surgery appointments with their GP – if suitable for minor surgery at the practice an appointment will be sent out.
Family Planning Clinics
Your own doctor will be happy to discuss all forms of family planning with you and during normal surgery times. Specialist clinics are set up particularly for coils or contraceptive implants which are provided by female partners. These clinics are held on Tuesdays Evenings
Implants – our Practice Nurses are trained in the fitting and removal of implants – please make an appointment with the practice nurse to have this carried out.
When changing type of contraception you should discuss fully with your GP.
Lifestyle Advice
General advice on smoking, weight loss, exercise can be given out by our Practice Nurse.
